The Delaware County Aids Task Force was formed in 1988 by people whose lives had been directly affected by AIDS. The original role of the Task Force was to provide education to schools, organizations and church groups in the forms of pamphlets, videos and speakers. As the epidemic grew, the Task Force became a little more visible and proactive. In the 1990's the role of the Task Force began to change and we began working with a Ryan White Case manager to provide for the needs of the clients in Delaware County. In addition to funding services for the clients of the county, we now fund the Free Anonymous HIV Testing offered by the Delaware Health District. The Task Force is fortunate to be a benefiting agency of the annual Aidswalk Central Ohio.
